Case Type Explorer

The Case Type Explorer gives you a centralized view of all case types in your application. Use it to manage your case types, access Case Designer, and browse examples of case types that you can extend in your application.

To open the Case Type Explorer, click the Cases icon in the explorer panel of Designer Studio.

Node structure

Case types are displayed in the Case Type Explorer in a tree format that illustrates parent-child relationships. Root nodes in the tree represent top-level case types. Descendant nodes represent child case types.

You can have any number of top-level and child case types in your application. Not every top-level case type has child case types.

The actions you can take in the Case Type Explorer are organized into menu options. You can access these menus by hovering over a node in the tree. Common actions include:
